Pyramids, Camels and the Sphinx

Even the camels are smiling for the camera!  Vendors in the great pyramid complex offer a variety of souvenirs to bargain for, cart rides and camel rides.  I kept my feet on the ground while the rest of the gang tried their hand and camel wrangling.
John and Pat enjoyed the ride and the interaction with the handlers.

Scott and Teresa looking like a scene out of an Indiana Jones movie.

Pat discovers that the pyramids are shorter than a camel.

The bus stopped at an Egyptian Rug maker where we got to watch how hand made rugs are created.

Next stop was the sphinx!

The pyramids and the sphinx are true engineering marvels. Amazing to see the precision and beauty that was achieved thousands of years ago without the benefit of technology.
